So I had another weekend full of "all things I do hair". And I didn't regret it at all.
1. Prepooed with my coconut oil concoction.
2. Shampooed with Creme of Nature Detangling Shampoo.
3. Applied my overnight henna paste thickly from root to tip after soaking up water with an old T-shirt.
4. Covered with a plastic bag, left it in overnight. Made sure I covered my pillow with an old towel.
5. Rinsed out completely......did so under a tap because it takes time to get all the henna almost out.
6. Deep conditioned with ORS Replenishing Conditioner. Sat under the dryer for 10 minutes.
7. Rinsed out, applied Hawaiian Silky Leave-in, IC Hair Polisher and Black Castor Oil.
8. Trimmed off an inch more, rollerset and sat under the dryer for 30 minutes.
9. Applied T444Z Hair Food on scalp, Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker to hair sealed with Black Castor Oil.
10. Tucked the ends into a bob after enjoying my hair for under 30 minutes. Style for the week.
Do you know how to rollerset your own hair?
Cheers,
Star.

ReplyDeleteYes I did...I'm getting better by the day, right? See, it's true..practice makes perfect.
DeleteI do,but with flexi rods though. Gosh your hair is full, how do I get a full hair?
ReplyDeleteI don't use setting lotion anymore...only leave-in, hair polisher and black castor oil..works like magic for me. Oh, and I make sure the hair is very wet before I sit under the dryer. How I'm longing to try flexirods.......:)

DeleteYour hair looks shiny and beautiful.Do you mind sharing the content of your coconut oil concoction? I like to concoct too.
ReplyDeleteThaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks...hehehheheh...*whisper* (black tea, ginger, onions, black castor oil). I have a looooooooong list of other items to add...lol!!
Deletelooks good after the trim and so shiny, want to try henna but the process is too long, how do u mix your henna paste? To your question, I rollerset weekly with exactly the same rollers as yours and airdry, love them, I have the excat same color and size too :)
ReplyDeleteI do a full strength henna treat so I mix it with a lot of lime or lemon juice, and some warm black tea when the juice is not enough. I add the black tea to help with my shedding. I cover it and leave it overnight to develop, then I apply and leave it in overnight. Takes 12 hours each though 4 hours is enough. Soon, we will need bigger rollers...hehehhehehhe.
Deletedid you mix the henna with anything like treatment?the one i got is in powder form
ReplyDeletePure henna is got from the leaves of the henna plant...usually ground into powder. Lots of ingredients can be added but the most important is an acidic liquid such as lime or lemon juice to enable the dye release. If your hair is dry, you can mix in conditioner and oils after the henna has developed .....a brown film forms on top when it is ready.
DeleteYour hair looks so lovely. You have really done a great job on your hair. I do roller set my own hair but I use magnetic rollers. Do you know of anyone that sells T444Z Hair Food in Nigeria (Abuja, specifically)? Thanks.
