Growth Aid Contest: JBCO vrs T444Z

Our Contestants........JBCO and T444Z!!

One more week of T444Z ..... I see remarkable improvement!!
I got my Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO) yesterday......Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! I’ve been using my T444Z hair food in the past month and I must say I already see a difference in the growth rate of my hair especially my edges. I still have braids and can’t wait to take it out on Saturday to see how much progress I’ve made. I intend to use the two products at the same time for the next 3 months (if my T444Z will last that long) but in this way:
My hair grows in a V shape because the back grows faster than the front (many stylists still don’t get that its how my hair grows!!). Now that I know that T444Z really works, I intend to use this on the front half of my scalp twice a week and on the right edge of my hairline and nape every day. I will use the JBCO twice a week on the back half of my scalp and on the left edge of my hairline and nape every day. I want to try this out in order to help me to make a decision on which growth aid works faster and better on my scalp and hair.

In the meantime, I've decided to compare the two products in the following categories before the contest begins!

Price: I was expecting the 8oz bottle for the price of GHC 23.00 that was quoted but it was the 4oz bottle (since I saw online that the price for the 4oz bottle was between $7.00 and $9.00). Well, what can I say?! Then later I thought of how much I had bought the T444Z Hair Food and that was $30.00; thrice (3x) the price of the JBCO for almost the same quantity!! So for now, I'd say the JBCO is far cheaper than T444Z.

Packaging: The packaging and label for JBCO is more attractive than that of T444Z to me.

Scent: The T444Z smells amazing!! JBCO smells not so good but not as terrible as some users made me believe...Lol!!

Texture: The T444Z feels better in my hands, not greasy but doesn't feel funny. JBCO is very thick and sticky.

Ingredients:  T444Z has all these yummy ingredients! Aloe, Herbal extract, Rose oil, Chamomile, Menthol, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Castor Oil, Peppermint, Papaya Extracts, Vitamin A, Carrot Extracts, Shea Butter and Essential Oils. JBCO is castor oil made from the Castor Bean. It is made the old fashioned way in which it was made in Jamaica. Jamaican Black Castor oil is claimed to be more effective than the clear pharmacy castor oil because of the ash content due to roasting of the beans. Therefore, it stands to reason that the more ash content, the more effective the oil.

Usage: T444Z can be used 1-3 times weekly on the scalp and will still be effective. My bottle is not even 1/3 way through since I’ve been using it once a week on my scalp and everyday on my edges but I still see growth. I intend to increase this to twice a week this month. JBCO can be used every day or every other day, and in several ways as well. It depends on the user.

Product Promises: T444Z is acclaimed to solve hair loss, hair line damage, thinning hair, brittle and dry hair, itchy scalp, dry scalp and dandruff problems within 2 months as well as ensure healthy hair that grows strong and without having to use any other product. JBCO is acclaimed to solve dry brittle hair, hair breakage, dandruff, dry itchy scalp, eczema, thinning hair, alopecia, bald spots, and will rapidly increase hair growth including eyebrows and eyelashes.

I will undo my braids, take some pixs and see how it goes till the end of the year!! I should be entering 2013 “hairumphantly”!!

    1. I must say the product lives to it's name though expensive...my edges are very full and I didn't see much new growth in the past month that I wasn't using it on my scalp. I just got myself a new one, and I'm happy it is now available in Ghana; I will use it 3 times a week now instead of once a week and see what results I get this time.

    1. The price depends on which country you are in. For t444z, you can check their site and call their agents listed there, www.t444z.com. T444Z ($30 or local currency equivalent in almost every country) is not readily available in Ghana, but there are a few importers of jbco (abt $15) though not enough. I wasn't awed by the jbco and haven't purchased it. I got a locally made one which I used for my ends but not as a growth aid. It's great for sealing and mixing in deep conditioners for me, but for growth, I always purchase T444Z....I'm on my 4th jar.

  14. Hi so can we get an update on the JBCO and T444Z being used together? Did you apply both on your scalp? or did you only just end up using the one product T444z for hair growth?

    1. I've not stopped using T444Z since I started as you might see from many posts I wrote after this. My go-to topical growth aid between the 2 is T444Z Hair Food. I still use it whenever I am able to purchase a jar.
